A one hundred and thirty bed, two storey High Care Facility, with dementia specific design on the Ground Floor.
Resident wings are broken into 16 bedrooms gathered around landscaped Courtyards which safely and securely connect the residents to the outside while enabling easy staff supervision as well as resident orientation.
Design principles applied:
Resident way finding and staff supervision efficiencies.
Natural lighting and fresh air.
To fit into the context, the Building mass is broken up with external materials and colours to reflect the rich landscape surroundings.
